FYI Sticky Notes 

Story: So I hurt my hip during weekend and there’s supposed to be a practice for a flash mob I’m taking part of. I was debating the entire morning whether I should go because my hip for sure’s feeling better. I go into the bathroom still pondering and I see a sticky note on the mirror saying: “-22 degrees DO NOT GO”. I burst out laughing because in my head I was just like “well that’s decided then.”

From “there’s food in the fridge”, to “will be back for dinner”, to “call me if you have to”, my mom and I have been spamming sticky notes on stair railings and bathroom mirrors. In a household where everyone leaves and comes back at different times, especially I get older, it’s a great feeling knowing we’re somehow still connected. After all, she didn’t say “do not go to your flash mob practice”, she just knew already and knows that I know. Which is a even better feeling.
